Frame Programme

Supports the development of your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body

From Master II onwards, the Consciousness Coaching® curriculum offers the following three optional forms of additional consciousness training: meditation, body consciousness and Hojo. This programme takes place daily and is available for every student to support the development of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies (charisma, presence, magnetism).

Consciousness Meditation

The type of meditation offered by Consciousness Coaching® is a pure consciousness-awareness exercise, designed to raise the level of attention by relaxing the mind. This allows for practitioners to observe "reality" devoid of judgement and interference. Practised regularly and with slightly open eyes, this form of meditation is a non-delusive, non-religious practise that easily fits into anyone's lifestyle.

Body Consciousness

Body consciousness involves the Yoga exercise "Sun Salutation". By stimulating and balancing energy flow, this Yoga trains attention and strengthens one's physical consciousness. The purpose of offering this exercise is to help the practitioner to achieve balance and centeredness within. Yoga is, in its entire form, a complete, complex science and an all-inclusive healing philosophy.

The word 'yoga' is rooted in the Sanskrit word "yuj" which means to "join" or "unite". Yoga is an ancient discipline of self study, it is not religious. The most popular branch of yoga is Hatha yoga. In Sanskrit, Hatha is derived from the words meaning sun and moon which are representative of masculine energy and feminine energy. Hatha yoga is then interpreted as the joining of the sun and moon energies which give both power and balance to the individual just as these two great celestial bodies together maintain our planet.

Body Consciousness

The salutation (Namaskara) to the sun (Surya) is one of the most widely used yoga practices. It is comprised of 12 postures (asanas) done in sequence as one fluid movement as if it were a dance. It is one of the best ways to warm and wake up the body.

Precautions

  • Pregnant women should not practice the Sun Salutation Yoga.
  • People suffering with high blood pressure should take special care and some may need to avoid the practice.
  • People suffering from back conditions should seek advice before commencing Sun Salutation Yoga.

Notes on practicing this yoga

  • Try to practice at the same time and in the same spot everyday as this creates energy around your practice.
  • If you do not have a yoga mat practice on a non-slippery towel or blanket.
  • You can play music during your practice but it should not distract you.
  • When in a pose, especially if the pose is too easy, then ask: "Am I using both my strength and flexibility?"
  • If you experience pain, then ask: "Is this compression (bone) or tension (muscles)?" Bones we respect and acknowledge that we cannot change our skeletal structure, muscles we work with and let the tension go by consciously releasing it and breathing into it.
  • Breathe fully and deeply throughout the practice. Breathing when consciously engaged moves yoga from a series of stretches to a combined physical and mental practice.
  • Have fun and be the posture, pretend you are a royal, majestic King Cobra or strong and sturdy plank.
  • There is no 100% accurate posture, just guidelines to assist you in gaining the maximum benefit. By being in the pose you will find it.
Hojo

Traditionally, even martial arts are objects and vehicles of mediation. For this reason, Consciousness Coaching® incorporates Hojo, which originated in the Middle Ages in Japan. This involves the art of sword fighting. Originally developed by monks in defence of their monasteries, Hojo can be classified as a mixture between Kendo and Tai Chi. Exercised in pairs, Hojo is a role-play in eight parts between father and son. It challenges practitioners to utilise their inner strength and to free their own potential. The purpose of the exercise is to train determination and assertiveness.

Dinners

Always a favourite for everyone, lunches and dinners serve multiple purposes - one being an opportunity to share personal information, make friends and discuss matters...

  • The desire to learn and the willingness to grow
  • Motivation to succeed
  • While not required, advanced education, experience in people-related fields, and personal maturity will enhance the participants' ability to succeed.
